UPPER CAMPSFIELD ROAD, WOODSTOCK
We have just submitted plans to Cherwell District Council for a new contemporary dwelling on the outskirts of Woodstock in Oxfordshire. The site is in the Oxford green belt on Upper Campsfield Road (A4095). A workshop building is currently at the rear of the property.
A previous application was approved for change of use and erection of a new dwelling on the site back in 2015. Our clients purchased the plot with the consent and instructed us to come up with an improved scheme for the site.
To maximise 'openness' (critical in green belt locations) and provide protection from road noise, we opted for a single storey dwelling designed around a large rear facing courtyard. A planted earth bund set back from the street boundary is also proposed.
